Is a new kind of regenerative leadership needed to we bring listening in its deepest sense?
Conscious leadership: how emotions and embodied intelligence can be the key to unlock a healthier future for all.
When we learn how to use emotions as data, as signposts to something important, and we start to align our inner and outer worlds, an incredible shift happens.
I see this regularly in coaching sessions, with some clients we can come back to it time and time again. Why? Because it works.
Connecting with our inner worlds and having the ability (the permission?) to listen, allows us an entire map of intelligence that in our every-day, over stimulated, over thinking environments we are simply unable to access.
Why is this so?
Why have we unlearned how to listen to our selves?
How have we unlearned to trust our selves?
When we don't have inner trust, inner knowing, inner wisdom - we cannot show up in our truth. That 'authentic' self you're seeking? Forget it! Integrity? No chance. Confidence? Not a hope!
When we deny ourselves of listening, our hopes to step up in leadership roles - whatever that might be for you - will be full of hurdles, challenges and frustrations.
Yet when the inner world aligns to the outer world a beautiful coherence is created, and authenticity, integrity and confidence naturally shine through.
This is not a new discovery - and my more holistic, yogi's and nature-connected colleagues will know this - yet in the world of 'work' (and particularly corporate and 'traditional' structures based on 'old school' models of leadership and management….) this appears not only absent from conscious leadership development but practically discouraged.
So - a new kind of regenerative leadership is needed where we bring listening in its deepest sense - an embodied intelligence - to the fore of learning, to be the bridge that connects us to ourselves, to others, and to the wider living systems and ecosystems that we live within.
This is at the heart of what Inner Development Goals (IDGs) ask of us and is exactly the ‘work’ we do within the Zone of Brilliance™ framework - is it time the world of work caught up?!
When we come from a place where our inner world is aligned, from our Zone of Brilliance™, we really start to 'work' effectively, connected and systemically for the better, all round.
